Tafl or Hneftafl is an old Scandinavian board game for two players. The game simulates the viking raid - four attacking viking drakkars against the king and his defenders. This game teaches young jarls to go for their goal and to sacrifice everything to its purpose, while knowing that unnecessary waste of lives of the defenders can be disastrous in the end.
